The 3rd IVS Training School on VLBI for Geodesy and Astrometry was held in conjunction with the 24th Working Meeting of the European VLBI Group for Geodesy and Astrometry in Las Palmas (Gran Canaria, Spain).
The VLBI training school is coordinated by the IVS Committee on Training and Education of the International VLBI Service for Geodesy and Astrometry (IVS) and was graciously hosted in 2019 by the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.
Students new to VLBI learned about the basics of interferometry, scheduling details about current modern observational procedures, as well as correlation, technical analysis, and modeling. The intensive, three-day program is available online at http://wp.portal.chalmers.se/evga/program-of-the-vlbi-school-2019/.
Thanks to the organizing committees and our hosts in Gran Canaria for an excellent session! (Photo credit: Victor Arana from EVGA 2019 LOC, http://www.oan.es/evga2019/photos.shtml)
